Cancer Care Partners Offers “Living with Cancer” Support Groups

Patients coping with cancer, along with their family and friends, are welcome to attend the educational and interactive “Living with Cancer” Support Groups offered by Cancer Care Partners, 301 E. Day Road, Mishawaka, Indiana. Meetings are scheduled every Tuesday in August from 1pm until 2pm in the conference room at Cancer Care Partners.

These sessions are free of charge and provide an opportunity to interact with the integrative, multidisciplinary team of cancer experts at Cancer Care Partners. They also encourage support and understanding through sharing with others who are going through similar situations. Dates and topics of discussion are as follows:

August 16- Thoughts, Emotions and Hope: Examine the mind-body connection and its role in cancer wellness. Experience hope through mutually shared stories and experiences.

August 23- Smoking and Cancer: Learn about the impact of smoking on your health and about community resources available to help you stop smoking. Also gain insight into how to support a loved one who is currently smoking. This session is for both patients and loved ones.

August 30- Coping Together: This session offers practical advice for cancer patients and their loved ones about how to support one another through a cancer diagnosis, treatment and on to survivorship.

About Cancer Care Partners:

Cancer Care Partners is a joint venture between I U Health Goshen Center for Cancer Care and The South Bend Clinic. It is the only cancer center in St. Joseph County to bring together an entire team of multidisciplinary cancer specialists who work collaboratively to develop the most effective treatment plan for each patient.
